What does 100% biodegradable really mean?

At Art of Prizem, we belive in true sustainability and that our glitter leaves NO trace.

In natural environments, like soil and salt water, our glitter completely degrades. This process is completed within 3-6 months, depending on heat and moisture. In everyday conditions (like on a shelf or in a jar) the glitter will not degrade. Completely safe for marine life, our glitter can be safely consumed by marine animals, should it find its way into a natural waterway, and will cause no harm to the animal or the environment.

Biodegradability Standards:

Our product meets standards of European (EN13432) and American (ASTM D6400) material characterization (including heavy metals), biodegradation, disintegration and eco-toxicity.

NO MORE PLASTIC!

Plastic products are one of the most influential issues to our planets sustainability. When released into an abrasive environment they break down into micro-plastics which have accumulated in our oceans and waterways.

It is estimated there are over 51 trillion fragments of micro plastics particles int he ocean today. These polluting plastics accumulate in floating "islands" and are consumed by marine life. By choosing products that use biodegradable alternatives, we can effectively reduce and stop the contribution of micro-plastics into the environment.

Be mindful of cheap plastic products - our planet pays the difference!
